While Lithuanian weather does not let people enjoy the sun and the heat during the first months of a year people choose to go for holidays in more warm regions. One of the most popular place for Lithuanians is Turkey.

Looking for Turkish sun: Lithuanians in top 10 of foreign tourists in Antalya

Dailysabah.com points out that Lithuania was at the top 10 countries of visitors in Antalya during the first five months of this year.



From January to June the Turkish city hosted 3,1 million foreign tourists. Only in May, 1,7 million foreign tourists visited Antalya.


Russia was the leading country for foreign tourists with more than 800 thousand Russians coming to Antalya in January-May.



In the top 5 after Russia Germany, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, and the Netherlands took the place.

Also in the top 10 countries by foreign visitors were Lithuania, Belgium, Israel, and Denmark.
