Another Lithuanian swimmer, Giedrius Titenis, narrowly missed the top 3 in 50m breaststroke final on Saturday. His result, 27.46 seconds, put him in the fourth spot, just 0.15 seconds behind Britain's Ross Murdoch. However, Titenis claimed 100m breaststroke bronze last week.

Lithuania's Simonas Bilis finished 9th in 50m freestyle semifinal on Saturday and narrowly missed the opportunity to compete in the final.

Lithuanian Olympic champion and multiple record-holder Rūta Meilutytė, 19, claimed European gold in 100m breaststroke.
