Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė plans to travel to Belgrade this week to watch BC Žalgiris Kaunas playing in the Euroleague Final Four tournament.

The president will travel to the Serbian capital from Bulgaria, which is hosting an EU summit on Thursday.

Žalgiris will play the first Final Four match against Fenerbahce Istanbul on Friday.

"Belgrade is only 300 kilometers from Sofia, so I thought that I needed to go there to support our team", Grybauskaitė said in an interview aired by Žiniu Radijas on Tuesday.

The president plans to meet with her Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vucic, during her visit to Belgrade.
