The Lithuanian player's rival was the 23-year-old local player Dragos Dima (ATP 438). But the Romanian couldn't be a serious obstacle for Grigelis who won in a straight set match 6-2, 6-3.

For his victory, Grigelis won 18 ranking points and USD 1,440 in prize money.

Grigelis also won the doubles title with his Italian partner Claudio Fortuna (25, ATP 513). In the final match, the Lithuanian - Italian couple won against the Spaniard Carlos Boluda-Purkiss (22, ATP 486) and the Italian Alessandro Collela (23, ATP 917). Grigelis and Fortuna won in straight set 6-3, 6-1.

During last month, Grigelis won in the Lithuanian Presidents cup the singles and the doubles (with Lukas Mugevičius), was a runner-up in Romania F-12 Future after loosing in a three-set battle to the Spaniard Gerard Granolles Pujol (26, ATP 342) 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(0).

After the victory, Grigelis spoke exclusively to the Lithuania Tribune about his recent period: “The last three weeks were great for me. Two singles titles and one final with losing in a tie break in the third set. After I won the title in the Lithuanian tournament, I am playing much better. I think that it came with confidence with winning a lot of matches. This week was tough physically for me because I played many matches in one day because of a rain delay. In the finals, I played my best match of the tournament.”
