Visitors of the botanical garden will be invited to get know with a secret and unnoticed life of butterflies.

“Would you believe that in the Middle Ages some people thought that moths and butterflies bring disasters, plague, and death? Have you ever wondered how caterpillar breaths? How wings of a butterfly get color?”, ask organizers of the event.

Egidijus Kinderis, one of the Vilnius university students, says that people still consider caterpillars to be harmful and want them destroyed. But in this case, the most beautiful Lithuanian butterfly can be eradicated.

During the event, visitors will hear a lecture about butterflies life and will have a tour with a specialist from the botanical garden where they see plants that attract butterflies.
