The Seimas and the World Lithuanian Community Commission is starting its work in the Lithuanian parliament on Tuesday. The commission's agenda includes issues related to preservation of Lithuanian citizenship, setting up a voting constituency for expatriates and refugee resettlement.

The commission, consisting of MPs and representatives of the Lithuanian diaspora, is also discussing independence centenary events. Meetings are scheduled until.

The Seimas and the World Lithuanian Community Commission convene twice a year to discuss issues relevant to Lithuanians living in their home country and abroad.
