At the Lithuanian Embassy in Belgium on Monday, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius presented a Lithuanian Diplomacy Star, the ministry's award of honour, to Belgian citizen Francina Baeten Van den Brande, the founder and head of the Belgian-Lithuanian friendship association.

"We are grateful for your commitment to and love of Lithuania, which is the best example of long-term friendship and solidarity between our countries," the minister said presenting the award.

Established in 2010, the Lithuanian Diplomacy Star award is presented to Lithuanian and foreign citizens and organization for promoting Lithuania abroad and developing interstate relations.
