Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius congratulated Martin Schulz, who was once again elected to be the President of the European Parliament.

“It is my pleasure to congratulate you on the election as the President of the European Parliament. This day is important to you personally, it is also significant to the European Parliament as well as the entire European community”, reads the congratulation letter of the Prime Minister, Prime Minister's Press Office informed.

“I am sure that partnership, mutual trust and close cooperation will lead us to tangible results”, writes the Prime Minister and wishes all the best in the future endeavours of the new President of the European Parliament.
