"In pursuit of integration of industrial competitiveness, the ministers of the Competitiveness Council should take into consideration the issues of other policy areas that have impact on competitiveness as well. Here the Council could be effectively assisted by a high-level working group on competitiveness and growth," says the Lithuanian minister in a statement.

The revival of the European manufacturing industry is at the centre of the first day of the informal meeting on Competitiveness. Political debates entitled Think Competitiveness First and discussions on integration of industry and future prospects of the European industry are taking place during the meeting.
