The Euro area's Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) fell to 99.9 in September, as compared to 100.6 in August, the European Commission said on Monday.

Thus, in September, the ESI has reached the lowest level since November 2013.

The outlook was also gloomy in the European Union as a whole, as the index fell by one point compared to August to 103.6, another 10-month low.

According to the European Commission, the ESI in Lithuania fell from 100.5 points in August to 99.6 points in September.

Meanwhile, the ESI in Latvia it fell from 102.9 points in August to 102.1 points in September, whereas in Estonia - from 99.9 to 99.7 points.
