The European Council president is due to also visit Ireland and Sweden this week as part of the tour which is dedicated to preparations for the EU summit to be held in Slovakia in mid-September.

The top-level meeting should include a discussion on the EU's course after Brexit, as well as the migration crisis and domestic security challenges after the ISIS attacks that have ripped through Europe.
