Funding for universities, colleges and research institutes to rise by EUR 115mn next year

The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport has announced that funding for higher education institutions and research institutes will increase by 26% or EUR 114.8 million in 2023 compared with this year’s budget.

Appropriations earmarked for universities, colleges, research institutes, the Research Council of Lithuania (LMT) and the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (LMA) will total EUR 550.4 million in 2023, compared with EUR 435.6 million in 2022.
