Vilnius University has opened a modern laser complex Naglis at the Laser Research Centre, the university said.

During the opening participants had the opportunity to visit scientific laboratories, they were introduced to the variety of advanced laser complex applications.

The laser multifunctional complex Naglis makes an integral part of the Sunrise Valley infrastructure and will provide access for national and international researchers.

The newly deployed resources will be used to develop new laser and light technology research areas, to enhance the cooperation between Vilnius University researchers and foreign research centres, also scientists from other Lithuanian institutions.
