Darius Kiela was charged for his three online comments. In one of the comments, posted last February under an article about Russia's planned military training in the region of Kaliningrad, wedged between Lithuania and Poland, he wrote that Russia is Lithuania and the whole world's enemy and a country of poverty, hunger and losers and will be destroyed.

Kiela admitted during a hearing by Vilnius City District Court that he wrote the comments but denied that he mocked the Russian people and disdained people of this nationality.
