Embassy of Georgia in Lithuania is pleased to announce the official opening of Tbilisi Square on 4 November, 2015, 13:00, during the official visit of Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili.

The opening ceremony will be attended by Algirdas Butkevičius, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Remigijus Šimašius, Mayor of Vilnius, Khatuna Salukvadze, Ambassador of Georgia, and joined by other honourable guests.

Opening of Tbilisi Square in Vilnius serves as one more bright example of friendship and partnership between Georgia and Lithuania, as well as emphasizes a close cooperation between the sister cities - Vilnius and Tbilisi.

Tbilisi Square is situated in the heart of Vilnius in Žvėrynas, at the intersection of Mickevičiaus and Kęstučio streets. On the occasion of the opening of Square, Tbilisi city municipality gifted the set of decorations to the Square with the symbolic of Tbilisi.

Embassy of Georgia to Lithuania strongly believes that opening of Tbilisi Square will strengthen the cooperation and friendship between the sister cities - Tbilisi and Vilnius and will become a great attraction for the citizens of Vilnius.
