The Lithuanian Prosecutor General's Office has opened an investigation into suspected assistance to a foreign country to act against the Republic of Lithuania.

Prosecutors said on Wednesday that the investigation should reveal the circumstances of the participation of students of from several Vilnius secondary schools in paramilitary camps "Soyuz" in Russia.

The probe was launched after examination of media reports in response to a call from conservative MP Mantas Adomėnas.

15min.lt news portal has reported that students from two Russian-speaking schools in Vilnius were repeatedly taken to paramilitary schools in Russia.
