According to the report, staff of the bar found the doors locked when they came to work on Wednesday morning, as the monks and security guards were already inside, furthermore, they had forced cleaning and kitchen staff out to replace locks and install grilles.

The 5,500-square-meter complex was handed over to the Franciscan Order by decree of Lithuania's finance minister in spring.

The complex has about 40 tenants. According to 15min.lt, the monastery's center in charge of tenant relations had asked a hotel, a theater studio, etc. to move out before April 30.
