Although the number of new cases has been on the decline over the past four years, it started growing again in 2014: in 2010-2013 indicators of occupational diseases went down from 35.1 to 31.9 cases per 100,000 employees, however, went back to 35.9 cases per 100,000 employees last year.

"Among men, occupational diseases are four times more frequent than among women (...). According to the data of 2014, the most occupational diseases had to do with musculoskeletal, connective tissue and bone disorders (58.65 pct), hearing disorders (18.57 pct) and nervous system disorders (16.24 pct)," reads the press release.
