The March survey revealed that 66 percent of Lithuanian residents trust the EU, followed by the Portuguese and Danes (57 percent each). In November, 64 percent of Lithuanians trusted the EU, and trust in the Baltic state was also the highest.
Trust was the lowest in Greece (27 percent), the UK (30 percent) and France (34 percent).
Lithuania's neighbors have a medium level of trust, with 49 percent of Estonians having trust in the EU, followed by the Latvians (45 percent) and the Poles (43 percent).
Asked to name two biggest challenges in their country, Lithuanians traditionally mentioned rising prices and unemployment, and also mentioned taxation.
1,003 people took part in the Eurobarometer survey on March 17–26. Across the EU, 27,998 people were questioned.
