This year, organizers of the campaign call upon the society to pay attention to water bodies and clean them. Roberta Ažukaitė, director of the public establishment Mes Darom that organizes the campaign, told BNS that rivers, lakes and ponds will be cleaned by divers, canoeist and persons walking on the banks.

As in earlier years, the population will also collect garbage from forests, roadsides, public areas and parks.

Leaders of the state will also participate in the campaign. Organizers estimate that at least 200,000 participants should be involved in Saturday's clean-up.

Darom environmental clean-up campaign has been organized in Lithuania every year since 2008. The global movement, Let's Do It World, has been recognized by the United Nations.
