A font developed by the original of the February 16 1918 Independence Act will be presented at a solemn meeting of the Lithuanian government in Kaunas on Wednesday.
February 16, 1918 Act of Independence

The font will be presented by the creative agency Folk that developed it, pledging that the font of the 1918 Independence Act discovered in Berlin last March would be available to the public. Justina Muralytė of the Folk agency told BNS that the font includes 450 symbols developed on the basis of the manuscript of signatory Jurgis Šaulys.

In her words, the font will be available for download free of charge.

The Independence Act was located at the German Foreign Ministry's archives by the Vytautas Magnus University's professor Liudas Mažylis in March of 2017. The document is currently on display at the House of Signatories in Vilnius.

The Wednesday's government meeting in the historic hall of the Cabinet of Ministers at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas is held for the upcoming Feb. 16 celebration.
