Estimated at a preliminary value of 23 million litas (EUR 6.7m), the shipment is the largest batch of cocaine found in Lithuania since 500 kg of cocaine were busted in 2010, the Customs Criminal Service said.

The sea container at issue had arrived from a country in Central Africa.

Lithuanian customs have this year busted a total of more than 800 kg of various types of drugs (hashish, amphetamine, cocaine and the new psychoactive substances), as compared to over a ton of drugs discovered last year.
