The Embassy of Israel welcomes the Lithuanian Government's decision to adopt the IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance) working definition of anti-Semitism, the Embassy of Israel stated in a press release.

This act demonstrates the commitment of the Government of Lithuania towards combating anti-Semitism and bringing Holocaust education, research, and commemoration to the forefront.

"It is a necessary step in order to properly identify, recognize, and combat hatred and discrimination against Jews, Holocaust denial, and manifestations of anti-Semitism towards Israel", said Deputy Chief of Mission Efrat Hochstetler.
