Running through March 16, the event is the largest of its kind in the Baltic states, attracting about 220 exhibitors from some 30 countries and a high number of visitors from around the world.

According to the organizers, over half a thousand VIP buyers such as wholesalers, museums, collectors, raw material suppliers and customers, are expected to pay a visit to the show -- many from China.

With big groups of VIP buyers from China, the show sees a lot of products which are favorite to Chinese customers such as various sizes of hand strings, Buddha beads, pendants and so on.

In order to satisfy the demands of the Chinese buyers, many Lithuanian amber companies are said to have set up factories in China or outsourced designing and production to the country.

Being an opportunity to observe the latest trends in the amber jewelry and craft markets, the show gathers a lot of jewelers, designers and manufacturers of technological equipment and devices from all over the world.

It also features international seminars and workshops as well as an international jewellery art competition.
