Oak tree near the Parliament of Lithuania was planted by Speaker of the Seimas Loreta Graužinienė and Chairwoman of the Seimas to the Baltic Assembly Giedrė Purvaneckienė. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Seimas Algirdas Sysas and members of the Seimas Delegation to the Baltic Assembly.

"We are very glad that today the young generation, which was born and raised in independent Lithuania, stands in the Baltic Way. I am pleased with young people who are not only gifted, diligent, motivated in achieving their goals, but also are socially mature and active," the Parliament speaker said.
