Automatically lifting barrier gates - in the Gediminas Avenue
PHOTO:
The works of installation of new modern automatically lifting barrier gates were started in Gediminas Avenue. The City has arranged for the installation of new stainless steel hydraulically lifted and lowered barrier gates by the end of the summer. This modern system, which cost about 50 000 euro, was brought to the capital from Great Britain. Traffic is restricted in a part of the avenue in the evenings of working days and on weekends, giving way to pedestrians and cyclists, city sightseeing tours and active recreation, a Vilnius city municipality press release states.
