At the final concert of the Song Celebration in Vingio Park, Minister of Culture Šarūnas Birutis presented the badge of honour "Carry Your Light and Believe" to Vytautas Miškinis, composer, artistic director and chief conductor of the Song Celebration.

The conductor was awarded for his ideas and initiatives in the area of culture which inspire the community for positive activity, for his personal stance and responsibilities creating cultural and spiritual environment.

According to Minister of Culture Birutis, in order to promote unity, people must rally together and for that personalities and committed leaders are needed.

"Thank you Lithuania, alone I am worth nothing," Miškinis thanked people after conducting the national anthem on State Day last Sunday.
