The Lithuanian prime minister highlighted the necessity for Ukraine to take advantage of the current composition of Parliament and make decisions that would allow to successfully fulfil agreements with the European Union (EU) and other international partners.

Butkevičius proposed to take example from Lithuania's parliamentary parties which unite on crucial matters disregarding ideological differences and strive to achieve political, national security and defence goals.

At the meeting the Lithuanian prime minister urged the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada to take measures that would encourage more active cooperation with related parties of the EU member states.

In turn, Volodymyr Hroysman assured that members of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Government are working towards European integration, crucial reforms are being implemented and some of them have been completed, for instance, the police reform. According to Horysman, one of the most important reforms is decentralisation of governance.
