The meeting in Kyiv will address the current situation in Ukraine. The presidents will discuss ways to strengthen regional security and cooperation in the sphere of defence. They will talk about potential measures aimed at enhancing the military, information and energy security of both countries.

The Lithuanian and Ukrainian heads of state will also exchange views on the implementation of provisions of the EU Association Agreement in Ukraine. Ukraine has already embarked on major economic and legal reforms. Lithuania as a country which underwent the euro-integration process can offer Ukraine the necessary expert assistance.

Among the other topics of discussion will be bilateral cooperation in the economic, transport, education, scientific, cultural and other fields.

During her visit in Ukraine, President Grybauskaitė will also meet with Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
