Lufthansa flights between Vilnius and Frankfurt, scheduled for this week, have been cancelled due to the strike of the German airline’s pilots.

The flights cancelled include one Monday’s flight from Frankfurt to Vilnius, four flights between those cities on Tuesday and another flight on Wednesday, the Airport of Vilnius said in a press release.

The pilots’ union on Monday extended its strike at Lufthansa over pensions.

As a result, Lufthansa has been forced to cancel 1,450 flights globally.
