Sweden's media company Modern Times Group (MTG) has denied rumours that it is planning to sell one of the biggest TV channels in Lithuania it currently owns.

MTG is the owner of Tele-3, the company that operates TV3 channel in Lithuania.

15min.lt has reported that the Swedish group is looking for buyers to unload the Lithuanian company, while several potential investors have already been informed about the possibility.

However, MTG spokesman Per Lorentz has told the news agency BNS that the rumours were incorrect and that the Swedish company intends to continue operating media businesses in all the three Baltic states.
