68 lawmakers voted in favor the proposed amendments to the Law on Alcohol Control, two were against and two abstained.

The sale of low-alcohol drinks will only be allowed during the rest and tourism season. The existing ban to sale and consume strong alcohol on beaches will remain.

The decision on banning the sale of alcohol on beaches was made in Lithuania in 2017 and came into affect in January, 2020.
