Six in one respondents reported feeling no anxiety about their financial situation and 7 percent said they were fully satisfied with their finances, according to the survey commissioned by the Institute of Finance at Swedbank Lithuania.

"A mere 7 percent of respondents are absolutely satisfied, happy and calm about their finances, but twice as many, 14 percent, are completely dissatisfied," Jurate Cvilikiene, the institute's head, told reporters on Thursday.

Forty-three percent of respondents identified work as the key cause of stress for them, and 30 percent believe that worries about money negatively affect their relations with their family.

Pollster Norstat surveyed 1,000 people aged between 18 and 75 years in Lithuania on August 14–25.
