Svenska Kraftnat, the Swedish operator of the cable underneath the Baltic Sea, said on Monday that the interconnection was fully operational.

Lithuania's electricity grid operator Litgrid said that electricity was flowing from Sweden to Lithuania at 240 MW on Monday morning.

NordBalt was switched off last week due to a malfunction some 10km from the cable's converter in Nibru. It was fixed on Sunday.

Electricity price in the Lithuanian zone of Nord Pool rose to €46 per MWh on Friday following the interrupted supply. The new 9th block of the Lithuanian Power Plant in Elektrėnai was switched on to compensate for the power shortage.

Electricity sold at €36.72 per MhW on Monday.

The 700 MW electricity interconnection between Lithuania and Sweden was launched last year and has been switched off several times this year due to malfunctions.
