Narvesen stores and Lietuvos Spauda kiosks have been chosen for that purpose due to their wide network of stores, a positive attitude to cryptocurrencies, the necessary targeted audience and the possibility to buy vouchers swiftly, Rebiton, the startup behind Bitcoin vouchers, said in a statement,

"First of all, this project is aimed at simplifying the possibility to buy Bitcoins, even for those who have never done that. Despite the still existing rather high level of speculation involving this virtual currency, it's obvious now that it will be an indispensable part of both the global financial system and online trade," Raimundas Asauskas, spokesman for Rebiton, said in the statement.

Vigintas Bartasevicius, the head of Reitan Convenience Lithuania, which runs Narvesen stores and Lietuvos Spauda kiosks, the Bitcoin voucher trade system comes in the younger generation's needs.

A person will not need any ID or any other documents to exchange the amount of euros in the Rebiton voucher into Bitcoins. They will only need to provide their email address and the address of their cryptocurrency wallet into which the purchased cryptocurrency will be transferred.
