The CEO of the companies' owner AS Eesti Meedia, Sven Nuutmann, said Balžekas was leaving the group by mutual accord. "The reason for Balzekas' leaving is a difference between the visions of the shareholder and the manager concerning the development strategy of the Lithuanian media companies," Nuutmann said.

The CEO of Eesti Meedia thanked Balzekas for the work done. "Balžekas has done an excellent job building up one of the leading media companies of Lithuania," Nuutmann said.

AS Eesti Meedia will start the search for a new manager shortly. Until then the portal 15min and the news agency BNS Lithuania will be managed by Justinas Šimkus, manager of the Lithuanian classifieds businesses belonging to AS Eesti Meedia
