Lufthansa has cancelled several flights between Vilnius and Frankfurt because of a strike by its pilots.

According to information from Vilnius Airport, two Wednesday flights from Vilnius to Frankfurt and back and a Thursday morning flight have been cancelled.

Indrė Baltrušaitienė, the airport's spokeswoman, told BNS that it was unclear as yet whether further flights would be affected.

Lufthansa cancelled 1,000 short and medium-haul flights in and out of Germany on Wednesday, the second day of the strike, the 13th in 18 months.
