Vilniaus Prekyba's majority shareholder Nerijus Numavicius, remains Lithuania's richest business person, followed by Girteka Logistics' board chairman Mindaugas Raila and MG Baltic's owner Darius Mockus, according to a list published by the Delfi online news site on Monday.

Numavicius' wealth is valued at 1.925 billion euros. He has increased his shareholding in Vilniaus Prekyba from 37 percent to 77 percent over the past decade.

Raila, whose wealth is valued at 907 million euros, holds a 90 percent stake in ME Investicija which controls the transport services group Girteka.

The wealth of Darius Mockus, the sole shareholder of MG Baltic, is estimated to be 400 million euros.

Further down the list are Augustinas Rakauskas with 270 million euros, Vladas Numavicius with 263 million euros, Mindaugas Marcinkevicius with 255 million euros, Dainius Dundulis with 252 million euros, Lyda Lubiene with 208 million euros, Arturas Rakauskas with 178 million euros and Zilvinas Marcinkevicius with 160 million euros.

Delfi and the Reitingai magazine compiled the list with the help of financial analysts and auditors.

Gintaras Sarafinas, the magazine's editor-in-chief, notes that Lithuania's rich lists differs from similar global lists in that it is mostly topped by people with holdings in trade businesses rather than in manufacturing and industry.
