Lithuania’s Energy Minister Rokas Masiulis is going on a visit to Poland to discuss ways to speed up the implementation of GIPL, the Gas Interconnection Poland-Lithuania project, and other energy cooperation issues.

On Tuesday, Masiulis will meet with Jan Chadam, chairman of the management board at gas transmission operator Gaz-System, in Warsaw. On Wednesday, he would deliver a speech about energy security at the 25 th Economic Forum in Krynica and would meet with Poland’s Economy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechocinski and with Mariusz Zawisza, president of PGNiG management board.

“We hope these meetings will help speed up the solution of strategically important bilateral energy issues,” the Energy Ministry told BNS.
