Antanas Sipavičius, director general of the Lithuanian Customs Department, has been transferred to the western port of Klaipėda after his 5-year term ended on 31 December, the department said.

As of Friday, Sipavičius works as a deputy head of Klaipėda Territorial Customs.

The Customs Department's Deputy Director General Ramutė Liupkevičienė has been appointed to serve as acting director general.
