It is expected that the amendments will clear the first stage on Tuesday and will be then discussed at parliamentary committees.

"Yes, we expect (the amendments) to pass the first reading on Tuesday," Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis told reporters after a meeting of the coalition partners.

Skvernelis told BNS that he expected the amendments to be adopted in May.
