At the meeting, Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius and representatives of CMG discussed China's investment and business development plans in Lithuania.

According to the prime minister, CMG chose Lithuania as a location to implement China's Silk Road strategy. The corporation plans to establish One Belt One Road economic cooperation centre in Lithuania, which will consist of transport and industry complex.

This is the second high-level meeting with the leadership of CMG. The prime minister met with the chairman of the Board of CMG in May. Then CMG signed letters of intent with Lithuanian Railways, Klaipeda State Seaport Authority and Kaunas Free Economic Zone.
