Lithuania's unemployment rate edged down by 0.1 percentage points in October from September to 7.9 percent, the country's Employment Service said on Friday.

Year-on-year, the jobless rate remained unchanged.

There were almost 136,000 registered unemployed persons in the country on November 1.

Some 25,400 new job-seekers were registered last month.
