Germany has plans to join the NATO Energy Security Center of Excellence (ENSEC COE), based in Vilnius, the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence said on Thursday.

Germany announced these plans during a meeting of the ENSEC COE Steering Committee in France, it said.

The ENSEC COE was established in Vilnius in 2012. Its members are Lithuania, Estonia, Italy, the United Kingdom, Latvia, France and Turkey.
