The state-owned Public Limited Company Lietuvos paštas has signed a cooperation agreement with S.F. Express, one of the largest courier service providers in China. On the grounds of the agreement, the companies will cooperate in the field of items delivery from China to Europe, the EU member states, as well as Russia and Belarus.

In May this year, Lithuanian Post has also entered into partnership with CLEVY, an international logistics and transport company carrying out its activities in China, Lithuania Post announced.

Vice-minister of Transport and Communications and Lithuania Post’s Chairman of the Board Arijandas Šliupas said:

“Lithuania Post’s partnership with courier and mail delivery companies in China plays an important role in exploiting the potential of our country. Due to a convenient geographical location and well-developed transport infrastructure we are an especially attractive country in terms of transit of international correspondence. I have no doubts that this cooperation will allow Lithuania to become China’s, one of the biggest world markets, gate to Europe.”

According to Mr Šliupas, China has the largest e-commerce market in Asia and one of the largest markets in the world. Rapid market growth followed by increasing volumes of transported items prompts companies in China to search for safe and fast delivery of items to every country worldwide, including European countries.

CEO of Lithuania Post Lina Minderienė said:

S.F. Express is one of the leading courier companies in China rendering services in China and other Asian countries as well as the USA and Australia.

The consulting and service company CLEVY located in Beijing focuses on services to Chinese companies enabling to develop international business. CLEVY works with such companies as Alibaba Group being one of the largest world e-trade businesses the items of which make 60% of items delivered in China.

The Public Limited Company Lietuvos paštas runs the widest postal access points in Lithuania. Lithuania Post provides postal, logistic, and financial intermediation services.
