Lithuanian ambassador to Ukraine awarded for fostering business relations

Lithuanian Ambassador to Ukraine Petras Vaitiekūnas was awarded by Lithuanian Business Confederation award The Business Ambassador for his contribution in representing Lithuania's business and political interests in Ukraine and for active efforts in developing democracy in the country.
There's no basis to speak about a pause in the EU enlargement process, despite recent statements of the new European Commission president, says European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule.
Lithuanian embassies must concentrate on effective representation of the country's economic interests and membership in international organisations, noted Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius at the meeting with heads of Lithuania's diplomatic representations who gathered in Vilnius for the annual convention.
Lithuania must maintain a dialogue with the Belarusian government, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevicius said on Wednesday, noting that Western leader are holding meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite ongoing events in Ukraine.
