Why is the deal between Russia's Gazprom and Lithuania's Amber Grid important?

Amber Grid, a Lithuanian gas transmission company, signed a 10-year contract with the Russian gas concern Gazprom for the transportation of gas from Belarus through Lithuania to Kaliningrad. According to the contract, the services will cost about €10-11 m. annually for 10.5 million cubic meters of gas a day.
